When I Think About You I Touch Myself

One simply must look after one's delicate, ageing complexion so come spring time, up pops the old $1 orange, frilly brolly to save the day.
Here is the old darling, posing with another old dear - they're jolly good friends who raised the odd eyebrow when they were out and about this morning.

I'm wearing a very old kimono from eBay, thrifted sequinned silk top, 1980s leather cut-offs, Docs and Black Milk leggings, oh and of course my handbag and headband du jour.

This afternoon, the old dear popped out with her trusty brolly again, this time with The Stylist wielding the camera.

Yay it's "scoffee" time - hurry up and let madre have a slurp!

I'm wearing a 1960s wool cape I thrifted for $12; Wheels and Doll Baby t-shirt from Ms Minx's shop, who also gifted me the flower ring; fabulously shiny mermaid skirt from that two-wheeling minx, Vintage Vixen; ASOS beaten up metallic shoes and a lovely lace collar I thrifted for about a buck.
As you can see, I'm still channelling Rough Vera and double-bagging it.

I don't want anybody else, when I think about you I touch myself - remember The Divinyls?  Such disgraceful lyrics!
The coffee shop girl took a shine to my t-shirt and told me about her shrines to David Bowie and Kate Bush ... I think I love her and I don't even know her name.  Oh the wonderful people you meet!!!

 Stick-on nails.  Love 'em.
And now for some more lovely random-ness from the wee lassie.

Isn't the fish a screamer?
The lovely Reva of Reva's Rags 2 Roses made a couple of special pics using a shot of some buttons The Stylist snapped off the other day.

Thank you gorgeous Reva!!
Yesterday I had a very exciting adventure when I visited the gorgeous Kitty of Kitty's Vintage Kitsch and her adorable daughter.
I think I spent more time playing ball than dressing up in heavenly gowns, we all had so much fun which you can see here.
We spent hours "playing" dress ups for a very special event happening next month, which is being organised by that raunchy, scrumptious red-headed woman and I'm sure she'll reveal all when the time is right.
She is one magnificent, warm-hearted and very strong woman.  AMAZING!!

Love Desiree xo

  25. OHWHOAHOH I don want, ANYbody else, when I think aboutchoo I touch myself....I thought they were one hit wondrousness, I had no idea they were around long enough for T-shirts! ;-)

I know I've said it before, but your stylist is the coolest girl, I just love her.

(I had the same design stick on nail thingies - only in pink - done, but even getting them done at a salon they didn't come out that well. How do you get the edges flush? Supposedly you were supposed to be able to file the excess but mine were pretty ragged.)
